Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a holistic management process by identifying threats to the organization. and the impact of that threat on business operations and provide guidelines for building organizational resilience. To respond and protect the interests of key stakeholders, reputation, image, and effective value-creating activities. The organization can carry out BCM according to the BCM Lifecycle guidelines, which consists of 6 steps as follows:

Policy and Programmer Management
Conduct studies and establish policies and procedures related to BCM practices to be consistent with the organization's business.

Embedding
Organize training on knowledge, understanding, and awareness about business continuity for executives, employees, and related parties. To create a good organizational culture and know the benefits of BCM, including their roles and responsibilities in the event of a crisis

Analysis
Conduct business impact analysis (Business Impact Analysis: BIA) and risk assessment (Risk Assessment: RA) to prioritize the urgency of products or services, processes, and activities of the organization. Including providing ways to mitigate risks that may occur unexpectedly to the organization

Design
Provide advice on how to formulate strategies and business continuity guidelines (Business Continuity Strategy and Solution) as guidelines for prevention, response, and business recovery that are consistent with BIA and RA results, including guidelines for defining operational areas such as operations centers. Alternate Site, Alternate Computer Center (DR Site) as appropriate for each organization, etc.

Implementation
Prepare an incident response plan (Incident Response Plan: IRP) and a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) according to established strategies and business continuity guidelines.

Validation
After the IRP and BCP are completed, it is necessary to practice and test the plan. To ensure that the IRP and BCP created can actually be used. Including taking suggestions from practicing and testing the plan to improve the next plan even further.
